Tips for a clean icon

Start at 1024 × 1024. Apple requires the App Store icon at exactly 1024 × 1024. Upscaling from a smaller source degrades every derived size.
No alpha channel for the App Store icon. Apple rejects icons with transparency. This tool preserves your source file; flatten it yourself before upload if needed.
Avoid text in the icon. Your name is already shown under the icon. Text at 29 × 29 Settings size turns into mush.
Keep key elements in the safe zone. iOS auto-masks icons into a rounded square; Android 8+ applies adaptive-icon masks. Keep the focal element inside a center circle of about 66% width.
